User Interface, commonly denoted as (UI) is an integral part of any online platform. It is responsible for smooth and efficient use by users that translates to seamless User experience, also recognized as (UX). When designing interfaces, designers use design guidelines. This is to guarantee that users of the software product get the best experience as they browse through. Website landing pages or applications are good instances where User Interface design applies.

Here are design guidelines to ensure that you get the best design for that User Interface

1. Make a simple Design

Simplicity, has always been an incredible ingredient in design. This is what makes a skilled designer. It is the ability to use basic design elements and making them standout. This aims at ensuring that interaction with the interface is effective, efficient and easy to remember your way through the site.

2. Make the Interface User Centered

A good User Interface is easier to learn and gain mastery as users browse through different pages in the platform with ease. Users should not be left with anxiety as they click different commands in the interface, as this could easily lead to consequences. A user centered interface ensures that users are in control, easily clicking and swiping through what they want to checkout and leaving out what they don’t.

3. Use Hierarchy on Type

Hierarchy in text, is the evolution of text. Text evolves from the Headline, subtitles and the main body. Hierarchy, speeds up the ability of a user to quickly read through text and the capability to quickly pinpoint information in the interface.

4. Alignment

This does not necessarily involve the alignment of text. Achieving aesthetics in design is determined by alignment of design elements in the User Interface. It is here that users are able to locate different commands with ease leading to a satiable user experience.

5. Make it easier for a user to interact with products

An efficient interface styles itself in making it easier for a user to checkout a product on a platform and leave it at will with ease. Irrelevant information in the interface should also be left out as this competes with the most important information on the site.

Using the same interface on different devices meets valuable user satisfaction.

6. Design consistent Interfaces

As a user swipes through the interfaces on a site, they often take the knowledge acquired from the previous interface. Consistency in designing user interfaces makes sure that users do not question the integrity of a product. Using different fonts, colors, icons and the behavior of an apps interface controls could make the user query the standard of products across the site.

The guidelines are to be used at the start of each project. Employing these guidelines while designing User Interfaces ensures that an efficient and effective User-friendly Interface. The goal is to always design interfaces that are easier to use and encourage exploration without fear of negative consequences.
