Prototyping in interactive design is a reiterative process that involves the creation of a visual and interactive mock-up model of a deigned User Interactive system. Prototyping generally involves coming up with a series of designs that show how the User interface system is going to be put together for a realistic User experience.

There being many types of prototypes in User Interface design, this helps to obtain early feedback, easier and quicker interface model creation, enhancement of project concepts and reduction in the expense required to build up the whole interface. Prototyping is fast and cheap; these echoes why it is crucial in the start and middle stage of the Interface advancement process.

While evaluating a User Interface prototype, it is important to factor the following;

1. What makes the User interface prototype stand out during interaction? It is important to note that the feedback given is as a result of a satiable customer experience.

2. Is the Interaction of the user and the interface bad? Being a technological generation, users love being in control of what is going to happen as they swipe through the interface. When users feel left out during the interaction, they are more likely going to give negative feedback about the experience. The key is to always communicate.

3. What is missing in the prototype? When creating an interface, a designer is likely to forget the sign in interface while designing. A designer could also forget about the comments’ section. It is here that users feel left out. It is important to have a section where users leave their comments. This builds traffic to the site as this helps the designer know where to tweak the interface design to meet good user standards.

While creating prototypes, always think about the target market. Nobody loves a slow prototype. Interaction should be as fast as they click through the tabs. There is a higher probability that the user has interacted with a prototype similar to yours. Strive to make the user smile due to how easy it is to interact with your prototype as compared to their last prototype interaction.
